5 Ways to Get A Brand's Attention
Influencer - Brand relationship building
Working with your favorite brands is a fulfilling experience. You’ve been posting, tagging them, and now you are ready to start building a relationship with the brand. But how do you get noticed by your favorite brand? Let’s jump into these tips, which were discussed in today’s room.
Feature the brand in your content
Tag the Brand and use their hashtags
Engage with creators in the brand’s community
Engage with creators in the brand niche
Reach out
Feature the Brand in your content:
When you already have “organic” posts that feature the brand you would like to work with, it lets them know that you are genuinely interested in their product or service. Create quality content with video, text, or images that will show the brand why a partnership with you will be a good alignment. Show your personality, editing skills, or your style when creating content so that you stand out. This is a great way to not only get noticed by one particular brand but by other brands in the same niche as well. Don’t be surprised to find a new DM or email from your favorite brand after using this tip!
2. Tag The Brand and use their Hashtags:
Tagging a brand and using their hashtags will be beneficial to you and the brand. Using both tags and hashtags will boost the brand’s SEO and social currency aka increasing their digital footprint. Every time you tag a brand, the tag notifies them and that also increases the likelihood of the brand seeing your content. Brands often create and follow their own hashtags. They find people who are using their hashtags and if you are using their hashtags, it will expose the brand to your content. You will also find people who love the brand and are following the same hashtag, which gives you the opportunity to be a part of the brand’s community.
3. Engage with Creators in the Brand Niche:
Engaging with creators who post about the brand will help you be part of the brand’s community. You can follow the brand’s hashtag and spend time engaging with posts that resonate with you. Leave comments that are genuine and will resonate with the poster and the brand. For example, asking a question or sharing your thoughts about the product while tagging the brand. Tagging the brand in the comment helps bring eyes to the poster’s content and to your authentic interest in the brand’s product. Engaging will let others in the community know that you are a real person and also a fan of the brand. They will likely recognize you and help build your presence in the community.
4. Work with brands in the Niche:
There are a lot of brands within the same niche; if you are creating content with other brands’ products that you already own, this should not put a brand off from working with you. In fact, it will give them examples of your content’s performance and how your audience interacts with that content. If you are always posting about the brand and have it linked to your affiliate program, it might also be worth sharing the sale performance of your affiliate link. Check out 5 Affiliate Programs HERE. Overall, showing your genuine interest in a brand will help you get noticed.
5. Reach Out:
You can DM the brand or reach out to them via email. If you do decide to reach out via DM, ask for the name and email of the person working on influencer partnerships. Introduce yourself to the brand. Tell them who you are, what you do, and why you want to build a relationship with them. Keep the email short. Try linking your profile and other resources instead of adding attachments, to prevent your email from bouncing, or being flagged as spam. If you are pitching to work with the brand, show them what your content and content interaction is like.
