I was intrigued when I saw this Becca Light Gleam which is a double sided Liquid Eyeshadow & Primer. Becca describes it to be ‘a dual ended liquid eyeshadow with long wear pigmented primer that has rich satin finish on one side and a twinkling topper on the other’.

The primer side has a doe foot applicator that makes it super easy to apply to your lids. While the topper side has an easy to apply brush which delivers a full brush of gleaming colour.

You get two colours in one. I’ve never used an eyeshadow quite like this. The color payoff, the ease of use and the longevity is very impressive. I chose the colour Red Star which offers a brick red primer on one side and golden pink shimmer colour on the other side. This colour will be complimentary on all skin tones and is a beautiful warm tone.

I found that both colours were easy to apply and blend with my finger and with a brush. I applied the primer all over my lid then blended it with a brush. This looked amazing on its own. I then applied the topper to the center of my lid to create a halo eye effect. I realized a little goes a long way with this when I had to abort the halo eye because I applied too much. I used my finger to blend it into the inner crease of my eye lid. This created a beautiful bright eye effect. I then applied a dark powder eyeshadow to my crease. I did this to test the claim of the primer actually being a primer. The primer worked well as I was able to blend the powder eyeshadow seamlessly.

My eyes are very sensitive to glitter products so I was particularly impressed that this did not burn my eyes.

I had a pretty long day and I found the longevity of this impressive. It stayed on for a solid 15 hours. I rubbed my the swatches that I had on my hand vigerously after leaving the swatches on for 10 hours and it did not budge. The colours of the liquid eyeshadow swatches did change slightly, but that could be due to a number of factors like the lotion that I was wearing that day.

I was very impressed with Becca Light Gleam Liquid Eyeshadow for the following reasons:
