Red Lipstick is a personal thing. Some rock it as their signature look, and others never wear it.

It can be liberating, adding a punch to a very simple look.

The lipsticks on this list may require a lip liner to help transition the colour while others can be applied directly.

These are my holy grail red & (redish) lipsticks. I love them all equally but they all offer their unique flavor.

Tom Ford Ultra Lip Shine has a beautiful formulae that has a lovely sheen but not glossy. It is extremely comfortable to wear and stays on for about 4 hours until I need to reapply to go back to having the vibrant colour. The colour - Indulgent is described as a deep blueish Pink. 

Pat Mc Grath’s, ‘Mc Grath Muse’, is a satin, full body, warm toned, medium dark orangey red. In a single swipe, I get full colour in a creamy, buttery texture. It is purely amazing how pigmented, hydrating and long lasting this lipstick is. 

Becca Cosmetics Hot Tamale gives an ultra luminous finish with  exceptional full pigment. It is extremely hydrating and long lasting. I do have several colours in this lipstick line… because its that good!

This is a limited edition shade that  looks good on any skin tone. It is still available on Becca’s website and is on sale for only $14.40.  It is, “a spicy red with warm undertones”.

Kylie Cosmetics, ‘Mary Jo Lipstick’ is the only matte liquid lip that’s on my list. It is a stunning tru blue red, that stays put for the entire evening and attracts many…. MANY compliments. She is a show stopper lipstick, something you definitely need in your arsenal. * It is drying on the lips, so be sure to prep your lips before wearing. 

My honorary mention is Fenty - Stunna Lip Paint. This is an amazingly beautiful, long wearing soft matte lipstick that also sends a lot of compliments my way. However I cannot put her on my holy grail list because it bleeds a little, so you do have to be careful when you apply.
